Giving Tuesday 2022

Healthy Cooking Promotion
November 2022

Cooking Promotion Mission: Brave little Hearts for Michael and Friends, are dedicated to helping children born with Congenital Heart Disease, CHD. We host events throughout the year to raise funds and bring awareness to the 22+ CHD conditions that cause the # 1 death rate amongst infants globally. In our effort to support the 40,000 families nationwide,  we have collaborated with Central Montco Technical High School and Normandy Farms Farmer’s Daughter to encourage team building and charitable contribution.  The objective is to allow award winner successful Chefs to reach back and give career enhancement skills. All the while supporting a CHD awareness promotion. This Giving Tuesday will be live streamed for the nation to see how “Students Become Chef, and how they support Heart Healthy Cooking“.  An innovative networking event to open opportunities for the Students and Top Executive Chef’s to engage in a fun, heart healthy, three course meal challenge.

Objective: Thanksgiving and the winter holidays are quickly approaching, we thought it would be perfect for the Normandy Farmer’s Daughter Award Winning Chefs to be the judges of the students' Farm to Plate (start to finish) process. Where these top chefs can reach back and give a few tips and facts on the best way to prep, cook and store heart healthy meals.

Why Heart Healthy; the heart is the one organ that beats life into our bodies. What we eat affects the function long term. CHD Kids are born with poor blood circulation. The caretakers would benefit from our project to learn food prep information to better their daily diets.
